Center
Management Organization
To expedite deliberation and decision-making regarding management policies and important matters related to industry-academia collaboration, MaSC uses the management structure shown in the figure below. The director oversees the administration of the center’s operations, and the deputy director assists him in his duties and acts on his behalf.
The Steering Committee discusses important matters related to the center’s operation and makes recommendations to the Management Committee. Meanwhile, the management committee deliberates on these important operational matters and makes decisions. The Planning Committee formulates plans for the promotion of industry-academia collaboration, examines projects to be added to the center, and consults with the Management Committee regarding these plans.
The Administrative Liaison Council deliberates on the center’s operating budget and on general affairs related to accounting, finance, and safety and health, and consults with the Management Committee. In addition, the center holds an annual meeting of the Board of Management Trustees, which consists of experts from both inside and outside the university, to receive opinions on administrative policies, the status of operations, and other important matters. This meeting allows the center to reflect the board’s suggestions in its operations.
