The France-Japan joint laboratory: ELyTMaX
ELyT was originally set up in 2008 to promote collaborative research, workshops and summer school programs between Tohoku University, CNRS, and Universities and Engineering Schools from Lyon. ELyTMaX (Engineering Lyon-Tohoku: Materials under eXtreme conditions) is a research unit involving around 15 researchers from France and Japan. It was established in January 2016 at Organization for Advanced Studies (OAS), as an international research unit "Unité Mixte Internationale" (UMI), by CNRS, Université de Lyon and Tohoku University. ELyTMaX increases the rate of further international collaborative research efforts between France and Japan.
